Journo’s Friday Thoughts
Arsene under the cosh
Never, whether having a group audience with Arsene Wenger or watching him interviewed on television, have I seen him end the inquisition abruptly – like he did post-match Arsenal’s Capital One Cup exit at Bradford City on Tuesday. Even the cool “Professor” is feeling the Emirates heat.
Messi business
Sky Sports News do a brilliant job and love to ramp it up. Yet even they were stretching it a bit far when daring to suggest that the imperial Lionel Messi, on 88 goals in this calendar year, might reach three figures before 2013. Messi has just two games left.
Mario first, the rest nowhere
I am tired of the petulant antics of Mario Balotelli. I do not subscribe to the theory that he is a “rare” talent and, thus, should be indulged. His mantra is me, me, me … the stench of his self-obsession is disgusting.

Heat from what he did as much for Arsenal as Clough did for N. Forrest, more so even, what future did Clough build compared to Wenger, he set the next 100 years of Arsenal in stone, the Arsenal fans putting this pressure would best remember the values they were so happy to mock Van Persie for lacking.
