RIP Richard
Words rarely fail me but the death of Richard Nieuwenhuizen, a Dutch assistant referee who was allegedly attacked by three players at the end of a junior league match in Holland, has left me numb. Two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old have been charged with manslaughter. I’m speechless …

Dons reunited? No chance
Glad to see the MK Dons-AFC Wimbledon “grudge” game passed off with only a minor pitch invasion or two. Everyone should now get on with their lives yet I suspect that the AFC clan will continue to blame MK for everything and ignore so many other culpable individuals. Oh well.

Taking the Mikel
So John Obi Mikel has been banned for three matches and fined £60,000 for threatening referee Mark Clattenburg. Not to mention accusing him of racial abuse. Mikel will serve his time, pay his dues … and Clattenburg is forever tainted. Justice?

    The juxtaposition of RIP Richard and Taking the Mikel, makes me surpirsed that this hasn’t happened before. In light of the terrible incident in Holland, Mikel should’ve been banned for a lot longer.
